Contoh kalimat dengan modal part 2-helo

blog penuh edukasi ini. Pertemuan sebelumnya telah membahas penggunaan modals dalam bentuk modal + verb word. Kali ini pak guru akan membahas bentuk penggunaan
modals dalam kalimat Logical Conclusions- Events in the past,
Logical Conclusion – Events in the present, Logical Conclusions- Events that
repeat.
Ingat
ini adalah daftar beberapa modals yang sering digunakan dalam Bahasa Inggris!

penggunaan modals dalam contoh kalimat:
1.
Logical Conclusions- Events in the
past (kejadian
di waktu lampau)
Ingat
bahwa must adalah contoh modal. Must diikuti oleh verb word
‘have’ dan sebuah participle
mengekspresikan sebuah Logical conclusion
(kesimpulan logik) berdasarkan bukti yang ada. Kesimpulannya merupakan tentang
peristiwa yang terjadi di waktu lampau. Ingat bahwa pengamatan peristiwa
sekarang (present) mungkin dapat
menjadikan dasar untuk menyimpulkan tentang sesuatu yang terjadi di masa
lampau. Sebagai contohnya ‘here is a
message on my desk’, hal ini mungkin dapat disimpulkan bahwa ‘my
friend must have called last night’

Hindari
penggunaan sebuah should atau can selain must. Hindari pnggunaan sebuah verb word kecuali ‘have’ dan sebuah
participle ketika beranggapan kejadian pada waktu lampau.
Contohnya:
a. Incorrect:
The street are wet; it should have rained last night.
Correct : The street are wet; it must have rained last night
b. Incorrect:
This pen won’t write, it can have run out of ink.
Correct : This pen won’t write, it must have run out of ink.
c. Incorrect:
I don’t see Mia anywhere, she must be left early.
Correct : I don’t see Mia anywhere, she must have left early.
d. Incorrect:
He doesn’t have his keys; he must locked them in his car.
Correct : He doesn’t have his keys; he must have locked them in his car.
e. Incorrect:
He feels full in his stomach; he should have eaten many.
Correct : He feels full in his stomach; he must have
eaten many

Logical Conclusion – Events in the

Must
diikuti dengan ‘be’ atau sebuah ‘-ing’ atau sebuah adjective (kata sifat)
mengekspresikan sebuah Logical conclusion berdasarkan bukti. Kesimpulannya merupakan
peristiwa yang sedang terjadi sekarang.

Hindari penggunaan sebuah verb word kecuali bentuk –ing setelah must be

b.
Incorrect: Drake is absent; he must have
been sick again (now).
Correct : Drake is absent; he must be sick again (now).
c.
Incorrect: He is taking a walk; he must
have felt better now.
Correct : He is taking a walk; he must be feeling better now.
d.
Incorrect: She must be study at library
now because all of the books are gone .
Correct : She must be studying at library now because
all of the books are gone.

repeat.(kejadian yang berulang)
Must
diikuti oleh verb word mengekspresikan sebuah Logical conclusion berdasarkan
bukti. Kesimpulannya berupa kejadian yang berulang.

Hindari penggunaan
infinitive dan bentuk –ing kecuali sebuah verb word setelah must.
Contohnya:
a. Incorrect:
Retna always gets good grades; she should study a lot.
Correct : Retna always gets good grades; she must study a lot
b. Incorrect:
His English is very good; he must spoken it often.
Correct : His English is very good; he must speak it often
c. Incorrect:
They can like their jobs because they seem very happy .
Correct : They must
like their jobs because they seem very happy.
